Smart Start program
Year-long early learning and school age program for children 2 1/2 to 12 years.
Located in high poverty, high crime areas in urban Cleveland the program provides a safe environment daily.
Rich in opportunities for at-risk children to explore and experience a variety of STEAM activities in their own neighborhood.
Early STEAM education will prepare young children for academic success.
Valuing education, positively utilizing their curiosity and instincts, and better preparing them to meet the increasing demands of technology.
Our approach utilizes inquiry-based practices, and open-ended child-driven activities in each of the STEAM curriculum areas focusing primarily on early literacy.

We advocate and support No Kid Hungry by providing all children in our care with a nutritious meal through the support of local and state-funded programs.

There is no possible excuse for children to go hungry in this country.
Yet it happens every day, in every community. One of the most effective ways to help families and children is through federal nutrition programs. The number of children living with hunger had fallen steadily over the past decade.
The coronavirus pandemic dealt a terrible blow to our progress as a nation.
Ultimately we vow that No Kid Hungry and our organizations will work to reverse this during the long recovery ahead!
